Chilli's has been the place where Alvin's friends from high school celebrated his b'day with him for the past few years.

However,
The tradition has continued this year with a little bit of twist when Wei Lin (Alvin's high school friend) invited Alvin's college friends but Alvin did not know about that.

Alvin thought it was just gonna be the yearly routine of meeting up and having an awesome dinner with his high school friends.

When Alvin reached the restaurant, it was like the usual.. His high school friends waving at him with joy.. Giving him hugs along with the B'day wishes..

Then,
Brian and I approached Alvin while he was occupied with his high school friends.. Wished him from his back which made him turn around.. Surprised and overjoyed to see us.. He welcomed us by giving us a warm hug. Am sure we all made this year his best B'day celebration ever yet!

Astro Battleground (Semifinals)

Astro Battleground is a Dance show which can be watched in Astro Wah Lai Toi channel 311 every Saturday night at 7pm.
This dance show is pre-recorded and the recording was done at the entrance of sunway pyramid weeks ago.
Since it was so near my house, i decided to watch it live.

The whole recording took 4 hours but its only an hour show.
Pretty hard work huh..

Volkswagen had a car launching last month in bukit bintang.

They had a few local bands and TWO international artists to promote the event..

When I arrived at the event, I was lucky that I missed the local bands because I wouldn't have known any of them.

The emcees were giving out freebies then.

Tennis,
a sport where during play, you can hear pin drop silence excluding the hideous grunting of the players
(ie sharapova, so pretty off court but on court is a major turn off for guys when she grunts)

Even supporters of opposite sides can sit side by side without starting a brawl.

Unlike football,

even the youngest audience can be somehow rather obnoxious..

I was late for the event, because i rushed all the way from work.

Got premium hospitality seats.. was freaking close to the court.. Sweet.. :D

The score was,

It was a pretty heated battle. Although i don't follow the tennis ATP, i must say that i had thoroughly enjoyed the match of Berdych against Ferrer.

Berdych disputes!

Ferrer had the stronger fighting spirit although he looked pretty tired throughout the match and won eventually.

Next up was

Soderling

Golubev

Soderling is an awesome player but sometimes he comes up with the weirdest strokes.

Final Score,

Who would have thought that Soderling would have crashed out so early.

At least he lost to the runners up of the competition.

Spotted two furry objects in my car porch from house door.

Grabbed camera and opened house door.

Walked sneakily towards the cats.

Saw an adult sized cat and a kitten.

Asked for mother cat's consent to take kitten's pic

Mother didn't look too happy but she fled leaving kitten behind.

*YAAAAWWNN* Cute kitty was falling asleep already..

But,

Kitten realised that I was taking her photos.

Kitten started to awaken.

And gave me her hunting pose.

HI everyone!!

I know i haven't been active here.. for a while..

sorry bout that..

While my blog is growing old and collecting dust.. hehe.. I am too (but not collecting dust laa)..
Now that i'm outta college.. I'm working from 8.30am to 6pm on weekdays.. *ihatethelonghoursomg*
So yea.. been kinda bz wif getting used to the "harsh" world and stuff.. but also meeting new people and gaining experience in the process!

Yesterday my neighbourhood had a lantern festival celebration.. I was rather bored after spending my whole afternoon doing my other part time job - data entry.. i decided to join in.. Brought my baby along too!!

Headed to my park,

bt i forgot to bring my flashgun along..
& I felt so tired after walking A DISTANCE from my house to the park..
Nah, i'm just lazy.. =)

So i just snapped with all the natural/ artificial lighting that i had.

After all the hype about Thunderbirds, we were really exhausted. We also had some nice after effects from watching show..

We turned RED!

When we got back to college, we had to endure laughter from our college mates and also our skins were really painful. The one that was hit the worst was Yuan Hui. He is the dude with the white singlet who wanted to show the whites that we Asians can be buff too.. haha.. He had untanned linings on his shoulder as if he wears a bra.. LOL...

Anyhow, it was all worth it because the Thunderbirds really ROCKED!

Alvin's been a loyal fan to the Thunderbirds since he was kid.. He could only watch them from the tv screen..

Until 2 weeks ago,

THEY CAME!

His childhood dream was finally fulfilled..

He was bugging everyone in college to accompany him to watch the Thunderbirds.. I was one of his victims..

At first, my only thought about Thunderbirds is this.

Soon after, i found out that they were this.

The Thunderbirds are from the USA air force. They do aircraft demonstration to not only show the capabilities of the F-16 but also to show the teamwork and the dedication that the airmen in the USA air force possess.

Yuan Hui, Brian Mok, Hannah, Chew and I were Alvin's company for the day. We didn't know the way to the R.M.A.F. and we got caught in a jam which was at a standstill. We parked at the roadside and decided to walk there. We got information about the whereabouts of this place and we found out that it was 8 km for where we were!!! We had high spirits then and didn't mind the distance so we MOVED ON.

After an hour plus of walking we finally reached... Luckily, the show was just about to begin.

Ever wonder why the number 5 on the aircraft is upside down?
Well, it is because the plane is upside down most of the time throughout the demonstration!

MCKL Graduation Night 09

Last week, I was involved in Methodist College's Graduation Night.

AND for the first time i'm not the photographer for the event.. haha.. I was actually involved in the choir. Suprising?

The college choir is formed just for this event. We performed two songs which were the college song and Gemuruh Jiwa.

We gave it all and we got some good response from the audience. Although we weren't great due to the lack of practice but at least we had fun.

The clown and the nurse tied the knot last weekend which was the same day as MTV WORLD STAGE. Though I have missed one of the best concert of the year but it was an eye opening experience for me as it was my first time covering a wedding so it was worth it.

Unfortunate for me, I was having some technical difficulties throughout the wedding. My flash gun was not charging up after one shot was taken. In order to get it charged up to flash again, I had to switch it off and switch it back on to fire it. This problem caused me to miss a lot during the wedding.

Fortunate for Mr. Reuben, he had many photographers as friends. So he actually had four official photographers for his wedding. With the amount of flashes coming out of our flashes towards them made them looked like celebrities going through the red carpet. But it was tough work for us photographers as we had to follow the couple the whole day and also had to try not to get into each others way.

For those who are puzzled about who is dis clown and nurse ah?

Mr. Reuben is Methodist College Kuala Lumpur's marketing officer. He is also a part time clown - Uncle Billy. And his wife's occupation is a nurse.

Back to the wedding,

It all starts with the MAKING UP!

In the church,

This is where the pastor asks Reuben, "Will you take Joanne as your wife?"

Reuben ," I DO!"

The pastor now asks Joanne the same question.

Joanne, " I DO!"

Then the fitting of the ring commence,

Pastor, " I now pronounce you husband and wife."

I couldn't get the kissing scene because the kiss was way too quick for my camera. Too bad for me. Its not like I can ask them to kiss again during the ceremony. Lol. Luckily, one photographer got it.

BBQ Nite part 1

Mismatch was the theme for this year's BBQ nite..

Many showed up with clothes that had a weird combination of colours or formal tops with shorts. There was even one who looks like he just came from a basketball match.

He is our Emcee Anthony!

Games Carnival part 2

After the games carnival was declared open, participants were dismissed. The participants started warming up for their games. I went to the wms football team to visit my ex disciplinary teacher, Mr. Naresh. When I got there, he was really into pumping up the team to perform their best.

"Remember guys, when you are on the pitch, u must not run but fly.."

First game started off with WMS 1st team

I can't help but notice some people giving themselves funny names on their jersey. Probably its to distract the opponent.

Even Mr. Naresh played the same tactic.

After watching football for a while, I went over to the basketball court.

Some dude from Kuan Cheng. I gotta say that Kuan Cheng guys were really good at shooting three pointers which was the main cause that made MCKL team lost.

Games Carnival part 1

Not going to blog much about games carnival today. But anyway, reyhan and I were the photographers of the event. So, I started off by going to the registration counters to take pictures of MCKL-ians hard at work. Most of the people in charge of the counter were girls.

After taking some photos, instantly triggered the cam whore frenzy amongst the girls. Whenever there wasn't any school coming to register. I suddenly would get nudged, " Zong Yuan! Zong Yuan! Come!" .Then, there the girls will be, close together smiling at me waiting for me to take the shot. Although, it sounds like i'm always complaining about people cam whoring but i'm actually not. Anyway, here are the photos.

Been busy this weekend. Watched 2 movies, Harry Potter and Taking of Pelham 123. Harry Potter was rather draggy for my liking and Taking of Pelham 123 was not great but good. Will blog more about games carnival soon. Stay tuned!

Last week, I went all the way to a place called Bukit Changgang in Dengkil to take pictures of Lotus and Orchids. Well, taking flowers may seem gay to some but it's a good way to learn good composition of photos.

My mentor - Mr. Lau lent me his lenses, how nice.. Macro lens and a reflex lens(expensive and rare stuff here). After we reached, Leanne and I started shooting away. Well, we met a few obstacles while shooting.. for instance, me and Leanne were stepping right on top of an ant colony while we were trying to shoot the lotus. When we realised it, the ants were all over our body.. too late! It wasn't the typical black ant, it was fire ants which gave us hell when they began to bite.

The following two pictures are taken with a reflex lens aka mirror lens.

Can u see the difference in the blur effect aka bokeh it produces compared to a normal lens?

Overall, I'm still not very satisfied with my composition.. Its plain boring.. but well, I've learnt many new interesting techniques from Mr. Lau. Thank you Mr. Lau for your guidance. I will experiment myself when I get a Macro lens I hope. I will not forget this experience because i brought home very nice local soveniers which were the ant bites on my body.

Friday: Manu's Training

After my last class have ended at 12.30pm, Wai Hoe and I met up with Saveen who was so excited and jumping about like a kid singing "Glory Glory Man United!", sharing his joy with everyone he walked past in college that he was about to meet his favourite team.

Went to Wai Hoe's house to chill out for a while.. Had lunch with Sheng Feng who lives near Wai Hoe's house. Then headed to Titiwangsa train station at 2pm. As we were sitting in the train, we were observing the people around us as we were pretty sure that a lot of MU fans will be going to the Bukit Jalil stadium at this time as well. We noticed a few guys with Manu jersey on and girls pulling their passes from their handbags but did not see many people with red jerseys as anticipated.

At at 2.30pm, we reached Bukit Jalil station. Upon exiting the train, we saw a swarm of reds coming out not only from our carriage of train, but the others as well. The crowded train suddenly became empty. And we thought we were the early ones.

We quickly went into the stadium and reserved many places for the rest that were yet to come. Although we were there like 2 hours early which managed to get us good seats, waiting there for 2 hours was like waiting for few minutes because of the excitement buried in our hearts to finally get to see the Manu players for real.

Note:
Quality of pictures of some are not so good as they are cropped out to ensure that readers can see the players better rather than tiny dots in the picture. Although the pictures are not top notch but the quality are still bearable. Sorry for the bad quality as I do not have big ass lens which will cost me a bum to shoot spectacular sports photos.

It's only the training and its this packed already.

While waiting, cam whoring helped to make time past faster..

Initially we thought that Malaysia team was going to train after Manu have trained. Apparently not, as Malaysia team came out earlier. Probably, this was to avoid people for not watching them train after Manu have finished training. How smart.. Well, we were pretty impressed with what our national team could do.

After the Malaysian team have finished their exhibition training session, the crowd waits patiently for the red devils to make their grand entrance.

The first player that entered the field was Paul Scholes. He started kicking the ball which triggered audience to go wild!

We Malaysians gave them a warm welcome by doing a Mexican Wave..

Pretty impressive to see M'sians really work together so well for the first time.. Well, for Manu.. anything is Bole!

They started off their training session by jogging around the field,

Followed by their stretching exercises,

After that, they played one touch. It is a game where a circle is formed by players and two players will be in the centre, the players forming the circle can only pass to each other with only one touch while the two players in the centre of the circle will try to intercept the pass. It's a training of speed and anticipation. No pictures of this as players will training quite far away from where we were sitting. No point taking pictures of them as it would be impossible to see.

Later, they were divided to 2 separate groups to play a mini soccer game. It was amazing to watch them displaying their impeccable skills of maneuvering the ball. The difference of skills between Manu players and Malaysian players could be seen clearly. Though the training only lasted for an hour but it was an exhilarating experience.

Although Manu had won our hearts but it caused us to loose our voices..

Saturday : D - Day

left the house at 2pm... Went wif Dad and a friend, Choong. Did not bring my camera because I wanted to fully concentrate on the match and taking good pictures of the players was clearly impossible for me.

Reached there around 2.30pm. The lines outside the stadium are long as expected. The whole place was flooded with reds which shows how much M'sians support our national football team.

However, me being such a good and patriotic M'sian citizen definitely will choose to support our national team Malaysia larr! This was what I wore to the match to show my support.

We managed to get good seats which were the 3rd row from the front. However, being so near to the field caused us to sacrifice our shelter from the sun. We were sweating like dogs while waiting for nearly 2 hours.

Waiting for the game was quite entertaining, because we were observing our surroundings a lot. People entering the stadium were mostly wearing Manu jersey. However there were some who decided to be funny by wearing a liverpool and chelsea jersey to the match which resulted in getting a loud BOO from the crowd.

I was also reading a lot of the signs brought by the hardcore Manu fans. There were signs like:

Evra > Cristiano Ronaldo

Tevez? Cristiano who? It's Manchester United!

The match was pretty intense as the Malaysian team gave quite a fight. We, the M'sian crowd were like freaking hypocrites. We were cheering for both teams.. but more for Manu of course.

Everyone was pretty excited to watch Michael Owen playing as a Manu player. Although he was given free to Manu but he proved himself worthy by scoring a goal few minutes before the final whistle was blown giving Manu a slender victory.

Final score:

Manu (3) - Malaysia (2)

Kudos to the Malaysian players who played hard to give Manu players a good fight and also entertaining us well!

I had been bringing my DSLR to college this whole week to take pictures of the July batch in their orientation week every morning before college starts.

After I'm done with this boring job every morning.. My camera will be abducted by the MCKL-ians. Then my camera had to endure the constant molestation from criminals of itchy hands. Poor Camera :(

After one week of multiple camera abduction cases, I've to become more wary of my surroundings when i go to college with my camera. There were many victims who were "shot" in this week. Therefore, I apologise to the everyone for bringing such a seducing weapon to college.

However, the biggest victim is ME.. I've to sit at home looking thru the hundreds of pictures taken.. Poor me..

Well, there was definitely a lot of intimacy going on that requires some secrecy..

But there was one pair who was so.. i would say, unique.

Well, I didn't travel all the way from PJ area to KL pac only to watch the dance..

My friend, Jie Cong was competing in his first dance competition in the beginners category. Went there to support him with Alison, Ming Hui, Saunder, Arthur and Jing Tao.

Jie Cong's dance was rather interesting compared to the rest. It was packed with drama (so him) and it had a story. Well, Kudos to Jie Cong and his partner because it was a good way to impress the crowd without the need to do many sophisticated moves.

Malacca Trip (Part 3)

Bird's nest is one of Hotel Puri's main attraction because birds actually lay their nest inside the hotel itself ( guest rooms not included, don't worry).

Day 2 was mainly about getting to know more about the Baba & Nyonya culture. In order to do so, went to a Baba Heritage Musuem where cameras are not allowed.. *sigh*

This lantern is spotted outside the Musuem.

To most of us, these lanterns are deemed as lanterns used during funerals. However, for the B & N culture, they are the normal sets of lanterns used in their daily lives. They have a different set of lanterns for funerals.

Okay,
A little history lesson here...
The B & N culture all started when the Chinese business man from China comes to Melaka and meets his love of their life which happens to be a Malay local and marries her. That was how the assimilation process occured. In my opinion, as the male was Chinese, thus chinese culture was more dominant. This is because most of the B & N apparatus and customs are adopted from the Chinese culture rather than the Malay culture. Anyhow, their outfit portrays a balance in mixture cultures.

The blouse is supposely Chinese which has changed in design after many years and the sarung is Malay.

Taken from Hotel Puri but this is roughly how the windows look like in the B & N house.

The B & N culture is an interesting cultures which is rich in customs and good food! However, I've gotta pity the Nyonyas as they had to be conservative by staying at home to learn how to sew and cook. They are also not allowed to leave the house as they cannot be seen by guys. FYI, in case you are thinking, liddat how they are they gonna find a husband lerr.. Marriages are arranged by their parents in the olden days people. And a Nyonya who has passed the age of 20 years old and has not married yet will be deemed destined to be a spinster for the rest of her life. She will have to work as a maid for the remaining time of her life. Sad huh..

B'days are like the most important day of our lives nowadays because we look forward to the wishes and special treatment we are going to receive and also not forgetting the nice presents.

Olden times, in the B & N cultures the B'day presents are quite intriguing. Imagine getting them for your B'day.. I would like to see your reaction.. XD

Malacca Trip (Part 2)

After checking into the hotel,

Went around town to explore. Did that on foot and was bloody hot. Imagine me having my camera bag strapped on my back and camera on hand roaming down the streets of Malacca with the weather conditions nowadays. Got me sweating like a dog. Because of that I had to buy an extra shirt as I under packed.

Here are the places I'd visited,

On the way back to the hotel after an exhausting walk through the town, went to Jonker Street to get a drink. My mom got attracted by the interior design of a restaurant and went in to have a look. Got a shot of a vintage looking spiral staircase which don't exist in modern houses nowadays.

At night,
Jonker Street which was accessible to automobiles are now closed for a night bazaar. After having dinner, took a stroll in the street. Nothing special really, just like a typical pasar malam. On the way back to the hotel, crossed a river.

And this is where I stayed for the night.

The environment of the hotel is nice but the room and food sucks though. Its not worth the money spent. After all, its targeting the Singaporean market.

Malacca Trip (Part 1)

Malacca

A state that we should be proud of due to the rich history that is buried within it. This place used to be a place where the whites fight to conquer because of its strategic position in terms of geography which allows it to prosper through trading.

It is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO which means that the old buildings cannot be demolished and must retain the design to preserve history. Now, Malacca is a tourist area and to my surprise as i have just found out that it is Singaporean's favourite hang out spot. In fact, some restaurants plan their off days based on Singaporean's school holidays. For instance, when our M'sian school are having holidays, they take their rest as well to prepare their themselves for the hard work when the Singaporean crowd arrives.

Arrived there in the afternoon,
Was crowded like mad because coincidentally the Singaporeans schools were off as well. Started the tour by getting lost in the city to know the place really well.

First stop,
Bukit Cina
Went to the Royal Well where Hang Li Poh, a princess from China used it as a source of water. Now it is not usable and caged up..

Second stop,
Jonker Street

This was where I got to try the famous balls. This is a famous delicacy in this region and of course there are many ball makers in town. In fact, there is even a competition of eating balls! Chicken rice balls you perv..

After lunch, took a walk around the area..

Went back to my secondary school, WMS for CoCo nite. An event where clubs promote themselves to parents to show that they are actually doing something in my opinion. But I still find it a good opportunity for students to actually do something for the club rather than rotting in every club meeting.

Baah, gotta admit that WMS clubs kinda suck.. other than the active ones..

Went to visit my history teacher Mdm. Premila. Apparently she was in charge of some cultural thing. Dharsh tried out the Batik.. Reminds me of the time where he used to brag about his art work just because he got high marks for art exam although his art work sucks. You'll understand when you see it. Sorry Dharsh if you're reading this.. lol.. My art work was slightly better than his but still I always get lower than him. I think the teacher hates me then because I always get caught for being up to some mischief during her class all thanks to Yoon Chee who constantly keeps the art class interesting. XD

After hanging around for hours, we got bored and decided to accompany Jing Tao to his "booth" which was the DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) machine.. Terrible bully he was, whooping kids of much younger age in DDR.. tsk tsk

at least now i know that my ex-club which was just formed last year is really active.. Good job Mr. Naresh!

and I got to meet up many of my friends who are still in school..

Today,
me and my buds went to support Greg in his play Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.

I didn't know he was playing the lead role - Rosencrantz. And Greg had all the good lines. He plays a character who is always slow in the head and always is the last to understand everything. Basically, he was the humorous one who cheers up the atmosphere of the play.

MCKL PC takes over Sungai Chongkak

Yesterday,

was in Sungai Chongkak for a club's field trip. Got Leanne's Grandfather as a mentor to teach us how to shoot streams creating a cotton effect at the portions of water gushing. Was a pretty fun day until some nonsensical thing happened.

Anyway, not to ruin the mood, pictures first!

Overall, the trip was fun and educational.

BUT,

when we were leaving the premises, the van that we hired broke down. We were left stranded at outskirts for freaking 2 hours. The driver of the van rang the headquarters to get another van to come over to help out with the situation. After waiting for around an hour, the van arrived and apparently it was the guy i was dealing with to hire the van - Mr. P.

Mr. P is one of the worst people i have dealt with. He is in a service business but he is so hard to contact. Forever not picking up his cellphone and even after texting him, he doesn't even reply to let me know he has acknowledged my request. He was the one giving me stress the whole time while organising this trip. Making me worry that a van will not show up on the day of field trip.

So Mr. P reached and instead of giving us a ride back when we were already so late, he went fixing the van that broke down instead. We waited patiently for around an hour until he gave up trying to fix the van and decided to send us back to the college.

We got back late and hungry because we missed lunch. Me, Rey and my teacher advisor were negotiating to get the fare reduced due to the delay but Mr. P kept on insisting that it was all an accident and it could not be anticipated so it was entirely not their fault. Therefore, the fare remains the SAME.

BUT MR. P WAS MORE INTERESTED IN GETTING 2 VANS OPERATIONAL TO GO ON WITH THEIR SCHEDULE RATHER THAN MAKING SURE THAT WE GET BACK TO COLLEGE ASAP. What kind of service is that man.

Then he starts rambling about the trust he has upon us and a lot of other bullshit. In the end, I couldn't get the fare reduced and had to pay the full amount for lousy service.

Not long later, I got an sms from an unknown number:

Kids, u hv miss use d trust i ve on u. Vy dissapointed as wat i can tel u.

These were his exact words. Must be from Mr. P.

I can tell u that i'm more disappointed in the first place.

Event organised by Study Tour Club of HELP. Talented and aspiring musicians, beat boxers and even comedians performing to do what they enjoy doing for the sake of fund raising. The funds raised is going to finance their upcoming project which is a 3 day 2 night amazing race in Melaka.

This guy is really good, because not only his jokes are good but he is comical too.. Even with a joke that isn't really hillarious, he can make the whole crowd burst into laughter because of the way he presents the joke.

In a Chinese Movie, the person who talks the most will usually die and the person talks the least will survive in the end. * He does an impersonation of a mafia boss who talks a lot and ends up getting killed and the hero will talk after killing the mafia.*

Exam season for me here.. In fact the paper is tomorrow. STATISTICS paper, God help me with this please. I'm really bad at this paper.

Somehow, I just don't feel the exam pressure YET.. Maybe its the long study break.. (As if I studied during this period)

Whenever I open my book, I will just stare at the book blankly. Plus the fact that I'm studying in front of my TV allowing me to eavesdrop at the programme my mom is currently watching. Swt rite..

Even my ferocious looking dog that was watching over me did not help..

After studying for a while.. I took a break and went to my house balcony to get some fresh air.. I noticed something interesting and took my camera..

My first Adidas shoe...

I'm not trying to BRAG about it but its the first time i've spent so much on buying a shoe. I got it from a warehouse sale that was going on recently. Its not exactly the shoe that I wanted though because most of the shoes displayed there don't have my size.

Why do i have such tiny feet larr..

My feet is only size 7.

And also warehouse sales always only have big sized shoes and Xtra large shirts.. Its like a good shopping place for big sized people and thin people with small feet like me always get left out.

Yeap..
after some busy hours in college and procrastination at its max this week. I've finally forced myself to blog about this place called Look Out Point at this odd hour. *yawn* Well, my aunt from Australia had been in M'sia for the past month and will be leaving soon back home. So, we went for dinner and ended up in a scenic spot called Look Out Point which I didn't even know it existed.

Its some tourist spot where the night view of KL can be seen. Used to be a quite a quiet place with only a small restaurant which was a nice place to enjoy the tranquility of the breeze in the mountain while gazing at the night skies of KL. Also used to be my cousin's secret place to bring his girlfriend to pak toh.. hehe.. But its not so secret anymore because there are now around 3 or maybe more restaurants around there which is constantly packed with people. The whole place have been converted to like a "mamak" hang out place but no mamak restaurants larr..

Me and my family were trying to find places to sit and we ended up in a restaurant called The Haven. We enjoyed the night scenary of KL but it was still bloody hot tho.. Something is wrong with the weather nowadays.

This is not an emo post but its about emotions.. Well, photography is not only about taking pictures just to remember a certain event or as a remembrance to a particular object for example friends and family. The most vital thing which makes a photograph worth looking again and again is the emotions that is embedded in it.

A good photo does not necessarily require a top notch camera (although it does help a bit) or require any superb photography skills to capture that emotion. Its all about the perfect timing and also the relationship between the photographer and the matter the photographer is snapping.

Good professional photographers often take emotions of people or what emotions the subject will bring upon to the viewers into consideration. That's why you often see people always looking so joyful in advertisements or magazines. You will never find a picture of someone frowning over the product he is trying to introduce.

The toughest challenge for photographers are during events where these emotions can never be played back. Once u miss it.. Its GONE.. Tough job rite.. lol.. Dun take photographers for granted people.. After all, its photographers who make people look good.. hehe

Ok.. enough of rambling.. I have not mastered this skill yet but am sure the following photos will at least bring some joy to ur heart..

I went to visit my cousin who just gave birth to a beautiful daughter - Qi Yuan (means i'm an uncle ady lorr). Through my visit, I've realised that babies show a lot of different espressions during their sleep which makes it so much easier to snap pictures of them during their sleep.

Went back to my dad's hometown for Ching Meng after treasure hunt.. Was soo tired after the hunting that i slept through out the journey back to Kuala Kangsar which takes around 3hours to reach.

Reached Kuala Kangsar at evening.. Pestered parents to take to me to the palace for me to take some photos.. hehe

Skies was rather gloomy so didn't get the shots that i wanted..

Kuala Kangsar Palace.. FYI, its built without a single nail.. amazing piece of work eh..

This pic was taken when the Earth Hour was ongoing.. Local tv transmissions was temporarily shut down to stop ppl from watching tv (save energy) but that didn't stop my relatives because there was still Astro... Swt...

Moral project ...

A requirement for us to pass our moral test... :/

Well, treat as a opportunity for us worthy M'sians to give back to the society. It was big event and was rather successful thanks to the management team of the whole project, am sure u know who are those ppl..

Other than that, it was a good time to get to know more friends through the process of being part of the project. And also cheering up the unfortunate orphans during the Carnival was the main thing that made the day very meaningful.

Shattered Car Window

Today was an unfortunate day for my mom..

While she was parked outside the house, there were people cutting grass. Somehow, the blade hit a stone and projected it at my mom's car causing the car side mirror to crack. Luckily the car side mirror had a coating which managed to keep the window in one piece while the window looking shattered. And also Thank GOD it hit the passenger side of the window causing no harm to my mom..

Yea.. its the treasure hunt everyone have been eager to participate. Loads of expensive toys to be won. And "fun" riddles to solve. Its was my third time participating this year and I still can't win anything although there are 8 winners for each category this year.. Swt.. Well, overall it was fun but tiring because of the hot weather..

Friday 13th @ HELP

I was invited by a band EVA to take photographs of them during their performance in Help Friday the 13th.. It was a charity event organised by a group of students of HELP college...

The event was quite awesome as i managed to see many young talents and bands who want to make a name out of their passion.. Other than that, So You Think You Can Dance Season 2 winner - Cecilia Yong was there!! Anyway, let the photos do the talking..
